As we expand, we are seeking a Field and Retail Marketing Director to join our team in a full-time role based out of our office in Emeryville, CA. This person will be a strategic leader of all consumer sampling and experiential brand building efforts across the US. You will mentor the Field Marketing team within the territory and work closely with Sales leaders to ensure trial activities translate into velocity driving and measurable sales impact.


Responsibilities include:

Develop Best in Class Field Marketing Organization and Go-forward strategy

Work with Sr. VP Marketing to develop the field marketing and influencer strategy.


Retail Marketing

Work with brand team to Craft creative and disruptive 360 degree retail programs for our field teams to sell-in and execute.  Support sell in process where necessary.


Help craft/ create retail selling story. Candidate should be experienced in utilizing Nielsen and Spins data to understand needs and opportunities for the business.  Use data to suggest new entry markets and focus markets and work with sales team to measure market performance. Communicate findings to the organization as needed.


Identify and Negotiate Premiere / Influencer Partnerships

Candidate should have vast experience negotiating deal points with key partners.

Manage an integrated approach with existing influencer strategy


Manage agencies

Identify the right brand partners and agencies to help us propel our business forward and execute key tactics when necessary.  Lead agency outreach, negotiation and recommend solutions and strategy to Sr VP marketing.


Optimize field marketing operations

Implement best practices and solutions for field marketing operations- forecasting, budgeting, planning, shipping, warehousing/ storage, refrigeration, vehicle program, ambassador employment


Enhance and create tools for training and managing teams: ambassador training manuals; shared calendars; reporting templates/ tool/systems/ recaps; roles/ responsibilities/ KPIs and more



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-10 years prior experience in field marketing, brand management, and/or similar work preferred

Job Specifics:

  • Full-time position
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently and remotely; our team is primarily located in Emeryville, CA
  • 40+ hours per week
  • Ability to be on the road and constantly to support market activations
  • Ability to plan and organize (frequently-changing) schedule according to travel, planning & event priorities
  • Strong working knowledge of partner and vendor contract development and special event permitting
  • Exceptional leadership experience with the ability to lead and influence team member
  • Experience building and maintaining partnerships
